Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 2026
Data controller: TEKFORK LLC — Gawkit Labs — Series 4 (operating as Fart a Day) Contact: support@fartaday.com
This Privacy Policy explains what information Fart a Day (“we”, “us”, or “the Service”) collects, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over your information. By subscribing to or using Fart a Day you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Summary — the short version
- We collect the phone number you provide so we can call that number and deliver the service.
- Stripe handles payments and collects billing details (first & last name, billing address, phone number). We do not store your full card information — Stripe does.
- Twilio is used to place the calls and send SMS messages, and will process related data (phone number, timestamps, call/message metadata).
- We do not share SMS opt-in data or consent with any third parties.
- We do not use analytics tools beyond what Stripe provides for payments. We do not track you with Google Analytics or similar third-party analytics platforms.
- If you purchase a gift subscription, your phone number will be shared with the gift-recipient in the SMS invitation so they can identify who sent the gift.
- You can cancel at any time via the Stripe-managed subscription portal (or contact support@fartaday.com). You can request data access, correction, or deletion by contacting support@fartaday.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide directly
- Phone number: required to place calls and for phone number verification.
- Account/profile information: if you create an account we may store the email address and any profile fields you provide.
- Communications: any support or email correspondence you send to us (contact via support@fartaday.com).
Information collected by our payment processor (Stripe)
When you pay for a subscription, Stripe collects and processes payment and billing information on our behalf. That information typically includes:
- First name and last name
- Billing address
- Phone number
- Payment method details (card number, expiration, etc.) — handled and stored by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Information collected by our communications provider (Twilio)
We use Twilio to place calls and send SMS messages. Twilio processes:
- The phone number being called or messaged
- Call/message logs and metadata (timestamps, duration, delivery status, and similar technical metadata)
We may retain call/message success/failure logs for troubleshooting, billing verification, and fraud prevention.
Automatically collected technical info
We may collect minimal technical data necessary for operating and securing the service (such as IP address, device type, or user agent) when you interact with our website or account pages. We do not use this data for user analytics beyond operational, security, and fraud-prevention purposes.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide the service (place calls to the phone number you supply, send SMS messages for gift subscriptions, and verify your phone number on sign-up).
- To process payments and handle billing and refunds (via Stripe).
- To troubleshoot issues, deliver customer support, and improve the reliability of the service.
- To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, or illegal activity.
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from public authorities.
4. Third-party services and sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We share personal data with the following types of third parties:
- Stripe (payment processor): handles payment collection and billing.
- Twilio (communications provider): places calls, sends SMS messages, and processes related metadata on our behalf.
- Service providers: occasional vendors who provide infrastructure, email services, or legal/accounting support (they only receive the data they need to perform their service).
- Gift recipients: if you purchase a gift subscription, your phone number is included in the SMS invitation sent to the gift-recipient so they can identify the sender.
- Legal & safety: where required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Fart a Day, our users, or others.
We require third parties to maintain appropriate security and confidentiality measures and to use personal data only for the purposes we authorize.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
5. SMS messaging
Fart a Day gift subscription SMS program. When a gift subscription is purchased, the gift-recipient receives a maximum of two (2) SMS messages per gift: one invitation (naming the gift-giver as the sender) and one confirmation upon acceptance. Message frequency is limited to these 2 messages per gift. Message and data rates may apply. Recipients can reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out at any time. For support, contact support@fartaday.com.
Mobile numbers are not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
6. Payment information & card data
We do not store full payment card numbers or CVV codes on our servers. Stripe collects and stores your payment card details in a secure, PCI-compliant manner. For questions about payment data handling, please see Stripe’s resources linked below or contact Stripe directly.
7. Retention
- We retain your phone number and subscription-related data for as long as your subscription is active.
- After you cancel, we will retain basic account records (phone number, subscription history, and limited logs) for up to 2 years for fraud prevention, tax/accounting, and legal compliance, unless you request earlier deletion and there are no legal or business reasons to retain it.
- Copies of data in backups may persist for a short period beyond deletion.
If you need a different retention arrangement for legal reasons, contact support@fartaday.com.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data, such as the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your personal data (subject to our retention obligations).
- Object to or restrict certain processing (where applicable).
- Request portability of certain provided data.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@fartaday.com. We may ask for information to verify your identity before responding. We will respond to requests in accordance with applicable law.
9. How to stop the calls / cancel subscription
You can stop the calls by canceling your subscription. You can cancel by managing your subscription through the Stripe-managed customer portal (the “Manage account” or subscription management link provided in your payment confirmation email or in your account area), or you can contact support@fartaday.com and request cancellation. After cancellation we will stop scheduling further calls for your number.
If a verification call is required at signup and you miss it or decline, follow the instructions shown at signup or contact support@fartaday.com and we will assist.
10. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal data we hold. These include access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for data in transit, and other security practices. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure — we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Note: Stripe and Twilio operate their own security controls for payment and call handling.
11. International transfers
Our services (including Stripe and Twilio) may transfer and process data in the United States or other countries. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to the U.S. and/or other jurisdictions for processing. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms and agreements to protect your data.
12. Children’s privacy
Fart a Day is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information about a child under 13, contact support@fartaday.com and we will work to delete the information as required by law.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes we will post the updated policy with a new “Effective date.” Significant changes will be communicated by email to account holders when appropriate.
